A Great Finale

I don't have much time to write, but wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the finale. I couldn't tell if it really was that close of a race at the end or if it was just good editing, but either way it was enjoyable to watch!

Did anyone else notice the absence of Dallas and his Mom? I wonder if they are still stuck in Moscow because of their passport situation. That's too bad.

Props to Mom

For the record, i'd like to say i'm STUNNED that Dallas lost the passports and money. BUT, i'm extremely impressed with his mom... never once did she say it was Dallas' fault; belittle him in anyway; gripe about their, new, crappy situation. She always came up with a solution to the next problem. I don't think i would have been able to do that. My pride would have gotten in the way. Amazing Race is too emotional not to get caught up in the little mistakes like that, but Toni didn't. She pulled thru for her team. It wasn't enough to win, but i still admire her spunk.

I'm with you about Dan and Andrew. There's gotta be some divine reason why those to are still in the race - what a miracle! They remind of the Hippie team a few seasons back. They don't have any real strengths between the two of them other than being able to bouch up just about any situation, but somehow that works for them. Amazing.

Secretly i'm rooting for Nick and Star. But outwardly, i've stopped pulling for a team b/c i'm gonna be loyal to my Sarah/Terence whiner team.

Should we make guesses on who will win the million dollars?
If it's a foot race i think Nick and Star will get it.
If it's a brains race, i think Nick and Star will get it.
If it's a luck race, Dan and Andrew.
If it's a one man road block, it could be Ken and Tina (although, i don't have any real faith in them i thought i'd throw them a bone.)

Stunned

I am completely stunned that Dan & Andrew made it to the final three. Guess I should have picked them for my team after all! So crazy. Ah I can't believe my team were the ones to loose their bag. How sad.
Now who's everyone cheering for? I think Nick & Star have the best chance of winning but I'm going to pull for Dan & Andrew because I like underdogs.

YEA!

I'm so excited Dallas & his Mommy finally finished first! They've turned into a fun team to cheer for. Wow what bad luck for Nick & Star. It's crazy how a bad cab driver can change things so dramatically. But even with their bad luck it was obvious DANDREW would come in last. What a bunch of goofs. They were SO hilarious during the army challenge. Everyone else made EVERYTHING look so easy but they made EVERYTHING look so difficult. Is it really possible that someone could be that uncoordinated. I can't believe they're still in this game. I totally called that...they'd come in last & it would be a non-elim.

What an episode hu. From Dallas & Star's little relationship to Dan & Andrew not having enough money for a cab because they had to buy new shoes - priceless!

The preview for next week said that one team looses their passports and money - who wants to bet that team is DANDREW.

Quitters

I watched last night. I'm really disappointed in my team. I can't believe what a WHINER Terence turned out to be. Why, oh WHY! Couldn't he just suck it up and eat the meat? It was worth a million dollars! Bless poor Sarah's heart for sticking with him. I would drop him like a rock. I hate WHINERS... more than a whiner i hate a QUITTER. It was his idea to take the Fast Forward... it was his fault they had to go back to the chicken hut for the golden egg.. it was his fault they got the bad driver (had they been one of the first teams there, they could have gotten a driver who knew where he was going), it was his fault they were soo slow with the cow costume. AARGGHH! See what Terence has done to me? He's turned me into a whiner!
So Long Team Meesa.... i guess now i just wait out the remainder of the race and see who can, or if anyone can, beat Star and Nick.

Another team bites the dust.....or is that dye?

Ya, so I'm a little disappointed to see Kelly & Christy go. But I'm really starting to like Dallas and his mom. I think their relationship is really cute.

I would have been so ticked off if I was Kelly. Those people in India were so mean to her. Starr ran through that group of dye throwers and barely got touched (stupid Starr, I seriously hate her). Kelly's first trip through she just got hammered!

Does anyone else think that Nick & Starr have this game in the bag? I'm not liking the way things are looking.

Non eliminator

Can you believe Tina and Kenny, that nagging couple, got to stay on for another round?! AHH! I think it's funny that they keep referring to winning the race as making or breaking their marriage. So sad. But when you live with a micromanager i guess you have to offer some sort of ultimatum. She won't accept 'No' as a possilibilty.

Star and Dallas? Was this "relationship" blooming last couple of episodes and i've missed it? I just about died laughing. "My mom isn't the best wing man..." hahaha that was my favorite comment. Well... at least it makes for some good TV.

I'm super sad about my team member Terence turning out to be such a jerk. Why can't he just be supportive. Why does he always have to be in corrective coach mode? I think Sarah needs to leave him as soon as this race is over. She's too good to be with him. Honestly, i think Sarah is the anchor in my team. Terence would have lost this for himself a long time ago.

Another one bites the dust...

This elimination was far from surprising. I hate when it's so obvious who's going to come in last. (Although I thought they might be saved, isn't it about time for a non-elim leg). They were so far behind they didn't even see another team all day. Even though they were SO far behind CBS still tried to make it look like a close race. Ty & Aja were probably hours behind the second to last team but the show was edited to make it look like they were really close. (They always do that but this time it was pretty obvious) I wish they'd have a little clock at the bottom of the screen so you could get a better feel for how far apart everyone is. Sometimes the only way to get a feel of time is when the sun starts to go down! I paid more attention to the start times this week to see how far apart everyone was. The difference between the first team and the last team was 9 hours, that's huge! Poor Ty & Aja didn't stand a chance.
Something I won't soon forget about this team is the quote that awkwardly fell out of Ty's mouth on this last episode, speaking of Aja he said - "I wouldn't trade her in for a Porsche or anything like that"

Oh Meesa I can't believe you forgot to watch. You cursed your team! They were pulled over for speeding - their punishment is a 30 minute penalty at the start of next weeks race.

Another thing you missed was the Cambodian dental office. Pretty primitive.

It's War

Has anyone chosen sides in the war between Kelly & Christy and Nick & Star? I haven't liked Nick & Star from the beginning, they're too full of themselves. I was glad Kelly & Christy beat them to the finish. Don't get me wrong Kelly & Christy are pretty annoying but I'm still pulling for them over Nick & Star.

The show will lack a few laughs when Kelly & Christy finally bite the dust. Their latest...parking their car and walking up the hill instead of finding the right road to drive to the top, especially after they read the instructions out loud that they were supposed to drive to the top. I'm actually surprised they're still in the race after all the dumb things they've done.

Way to go Ken & Tina on being first again. I kind of like these guys.

Gotta love people who can't read directions. There's been a lot of that this season. Poor nerds. I loved what they said during their post-race interview about knowing from the beginning that they couldn't compete physically but they could compete mentally and then it was a mental mistake that cost them the game. I guess you're right. If it's not on a computer...

So I have to laugh at your team again. Did you catch what Sarah said in an interview. "I've realized that the other teams are just out for themselves, this isn't a popularity contest it's a RACE." Wow I'm glad we cleared that up!

Ok I'll stop being wishy washy and pick a team. I'm cheering for Team Mom and Son. Hopefully they'll start getting more face time. Now you'll be able to give me a hard time about my team since I keep doing it to you!

Did you see it coming?

Where did that Mom/son team come from?! Wow - the speed with which they flew to the top! I've never seen it before. And so uncomplicated in their family dynamics. I think they might have a chance.

But Terence and Sarah - very pleasing. Nice work getting to third all they way from last place! I love that she speaks SPANISH! I think that's what saved them. She was able to communicate to the cab driver why they needed to hurry and he then jumped on their team. I think that's key.

I thought for sure that those Divorcees girls were gonna see the end, but Lisa's poor team can't seem to read directions of they're printed on paper. Needs to be on a computer screen for them to see, i guess. SOooo sad... and the Oxygen! OH man- that's a killer. True geek, thru and thru. Rough luck, LISA... what's gonna be your next pick?

Hurry and decide your team Holly so this can be a real race!

What about these girls?

So. At first i really wanted to pick these divoreeeeee friends. I've never done a team with strong women power. There they were professing how strong they were and how capable being single made them. Blah blah blah. I was really close to buying into it all. Then they were videotaped inside their taxi. Ugh. Didn't read the directions? Confused the road block? I too was dying when they were digging in the sand for a container - honestly, HOW did they come to that conclusion??!! WOW... and to see that no one else was looking for said container didn't give them the slightest hint. Amazing.

Out immediately. I don't think these girls are gonna make it very far. I know they beat the blondes. but at least the blondes understand their limits. These girls are dangerous to themselves and the other teams. Get them out sooooon!

These guys surprised me a little. They seem athletic enough (I mean look what they're wearing) why were they always in the back of the pack? They were kind of funny. You could tell from their comments that she is totally ready to get married and he's not.

They seemed like a sweet couple.

Part of me was hoping they would do well but as soon as Phil said "GO" and everyone raced up the hill to their first clue it was obvious they weren't going to last long.
